Ride Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

Solenoid Valve Block

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

‹› Insert tool 10 (V.A.G 1783/1)

Removing

‹› The solenoid valve block is installed on the right side under the front bumper.

-

Place vehicle on a hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Positioning Vehicle on
Hoist and Wheels. 

-

Perform system vent using Diagnostic Operation System (VAS 5051 A). Refer to => [ System, Venting or Filling ] See: Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/System, Venting or Filling. 

-

Remove wheel covers, remove cover cap on light-alloy wheels (removal hook in vehicle tool kit).

-

Remove wheel.

-

Remove noise insulation..

-

Remove front wheel housing liner. 

-

Disconnect connector - 1 -.

-

Slowly loosen air lines - arrows - and let the air pressure escape. After the air pressure has escaped, remove the air lines.

Protect air lines from contamination.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and solenoid valve block.
