Secures brake pedal to shaft on pedal bracket

cruise control vacuum vent valves

Insert into pedal bracket

Attaches clevis to clutch pedal

Pin may also be installed by turning 180° (easier to insert)

16. Clevis

Adjust so that the clutch pedal is positioned approx. 10 mm (0.39 in.) beyond the brake pedal.

Make sure that the over-center spring returns the clutch pedal to the rest position, and that the pedal does not contact the pedal bracket. Failure
to meet these requirements will result in premature wear of the clutch lining

CAUTION!  If the clevis is correctly adjusted but the clutch pedal does not return properly, check the following possible causes:
-

Air in the clutch hydraulic system

-

Stiffness in the pedal bushing or the over-center spring.

17. Lock nut

-

Tighten after adjusting clevis

18. Clutch master cylinder
19. Screw

-

Master cylinder to pedal bracket

-

20 Nm (15 ft lb) 

20. Locking clip

-

Always replace

-
