Output Shaft: Service and Repair
Automatic Transmission 01F

Transmission Installed

Remove exhaust pipe with three way catalytic converters (arrows -2-)

Remove front crossmember (arrow -1-) and heat shield.

-

Detach driveshaft at transmission.

Do not lower driveshaft more than necessary to remove flanged shaft.

Secure driveshaft at exhaust pipe to prevent it falling down.

CAUTION!  If the driveshaft is not correctly installed, the joints will be damaged.

Place oil tray below end cover.

-

Remove circlip -A-.

-

Thread M8 bolt into tapped hole of cap -B- and remove cap together with magnet.

Note:  Always replace 0-ring.

Remove flanged shaft by pulling circlip apart: pry out flanged shaft with assembly lever, if necessary.
