Removal:

‹› If both lid hinges are replaced, these must first be installed on lid side, then bring lid with hinges flush to vehicle and tighten nuts -  7 - to 21 Nm.

Remove D-pillar trim and rear roof trim. 

-

Remove rear lid hinge cover.

‹› To avoid damage to lid or body, support lid and protect it from falling down.

-

Remove combination screw - 1 -.

-

Remove hex head nut - 5 - and remove hinge.

Installing:

-

Install hinge on body and secure with screw - 1 - on rear lid.

-

Tighten bolts - 1 - to 21 Nm.

-

Secure hinge with nuts - 5 - and tighten to 21 Nm 

-

Press on hinge cover.

Adjusting piece

‹› When removing and installing a rear lid (for example, when replacing a seal), do not remove adjusting piece from rear lid.

‹› Rear lid is secured with adjusting piece and must not be readjusted.

Spacer

‹› Must always be installed

‹› If spacer is not installed, rear lid hinges can bend and lid is no longer in correct installation position

Hex nut

‹› 21 Nm
