Rear Footwell Vent Motor

Rear Footwell Vent Motor

‹› With the exception of the Rear Vent Control Motor (V112), at present the A/C unit control motor housings are identical. A potentiometer with an

adjustment range of 120 ° is installed in this control motor, its part number at the start of production has no index.

‹› Mark motor/door connecting elements when removing (danger of swapping with connecting elements of the other actuator motors).

‹› Mark the control motors prior to removing them, follow the correct assignment when installing and the correct part number and index when

replacing (despite the same housing, the various control motors have different electrical values and are different in the part number index).

‹› In the event of fault "Upper or lower limit value exceeded", check connecting element of engine/door, it must be attached to engine accurate to

side and there must not be any clearance between actuator mount and connecting element.

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head => [ Climatronic Control Module A/C Control Head ] See: Control Module
HVAC/Service and Repair/Climatronic Control Module A/C Control Head.

Remove right lower center console cover.

-

If necessary, remove the lower right holder - H - between the instrument panel central tube and the center tunnel (improves accessibility).

If necessary, mark connector - C - to the control motor (danger of interchange with other connectors of same construction).

Reach through the installation slot for the Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head and disconnect connector -  C - from the Rear
Vent Control Motor (V112).

Reach through the installation slot for the Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head and remove bolt -  A - (torque 10 Nm).

Remove bolt - D - (from below via the gap between the outer dash panel and center tunnel - torque 10 Nm).

Remove control motor - B -.

-

Carefully pry off connecting element - E - (e.g. with a screwdriver) from control motor - B -.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following.

Check the position of the control motor shaft - B -, it must be located in the position depicted.
