Rear Cup Holder - Damaged

Condition

Cup holder opens too easily and is inadvertently damaged by rear seat occupant.

Production

Cup holder opening spring force increased as of Jan. 1999, beginning with VIN: 48_XN070943.

Service

Replace damaged cup holders with Part No: 4B0 885 995A 01C as follows:

CAUTION!

Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Dept. for the latest parts in formation.

Using screwdriver, pry out cup holder trim -4- from latches -3-.

-

With cup holder trim removed:

-

Open cup holders.

-

Using screwdriver, push up latches -2- (2x).

CAUTION!

Do not push down on the screwdriver, damage to the cup holder may result.

Pull out cup holders -1-.

Note:

Cup holder frame is built into the rear seat (foam) and is not available as a replacement part.
