Lightly coat hatched surfaces on bearing cap (item -7-) and double bearing cap with sealant 454 300 02 and install.

Install remaining bearing caps and tighten to 10 Nm (7 ft lbs).

Install toothed belt. Refer to Timing Components - Timing Belt - Service and Repair - Procedures See: Timing Components/Timing

CAUTION: After installing new hydraulic valve lifters the engine must not be started for about 30 minutes. The hydraulic valve lifters must
settle (otherwise valves will strike pistons). Then turn crankshaft two full revolutions by hand before starting.
