Trunk Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

CAUTION:  Before working on the electrical system:

-

Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.

-

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

Removing

-

Remove rear lid lock.  

-

Disconnect electrical connector.

-

With rear lid lock -1- removed, use flat screwdriver to release plastic tab -3- at two rivets -4-.

-

Press lever -2- in direction of arrow and pull back plastic tab -3-.

-

Carefully remove contact switch -3- from trunk lock -1-.

Installing

-

Carefully place contact switch in mounting in rear lid lock.

-

Push back plastic tab -2- to original position and snap contact switch in place.

-

Reconnect electrical connector.

-

Install rear lid lock.
