Seat Belt Buckle Switch: Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
NOTE: The VAG1552 Scan Tool (ST) can be used instead of the VAG1551. However, the VAG1552 scan tool does not have printing capabilities
Test conditions
-
Battery voltage at least 11 V
-
Ground (GND) connections on engine and transmission OK
-
Fuse OK
-
Unclip cover for Data Link Connector (DLC), located under driver's side knee bar, behind steering wheel (left-side).

Connect VAG1551 or VAG1552 Scan Tool (ST) with VAG1551/3 adapter cable to DLC.

1) Operating modes 1 and 2 are displayed alternately

Switch ignition on.

Switch on printer by pressing PRINT button (indicator lamp in button lights up).

Press button -1- to select "Rapid data transfer" operating model.

NOTE: In "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 7 the "Automatic Test Sequence" function 00 can be carried out. This checks the Diagnostic Trouble
Code (DTC) memory of all the vehicle control modules (that have OBD capabilities) automatically.
