Insert drive axle in vise.

Lightly press on cover-1- from repair kit so that the securing ring from the repair kit can be inserted.

Insert securing ring from repair kit below entire circumference of engaging groove.

Note:  Make sure securing ring engages audibly.

Position joint piece in center Position. See min - max position

Note:  Vent CV boot, e.g. using a screwdriver, while positioning joint piece in center position. (Arrow).

Mount clamp, Refer to Drive Axle With Triple Roller Joint, Servicing, See Fig. 5.

Note:  Position the crimping tab -2- of the clamp between mounting flanges -1- of joint piece. This will facilitate threading the socket head bolts
during installation of the drive axle
