Install new needle bearing and place sleeve 2080 A on new needle bearing -1-.

Note:

The sleeve must be placed on the center of the sleeve.

Using punch VW 408 a, drive needle bearing in to stop until flush with distributor housing.

^

Install snap ring item -16-,  to secure needle bearing.

^

Install front gear 2 carefully.

^

Install guide plate and fastening ring and fasten with bolts.

^

Carefully install clamping nut item -14-,.

Note:

Before the distributor gear is installed, the following test steps must be carried out:

Check sealing ring for output flange/drive shaft for damage or lack of seal and replace if necessary .

^

Check double sealing ring of front final drive intermediate flange for damage or lack of seal and replace if necessary .
