This involves screwing out hex bolts -1- of support plates and subframe bolts -2-.
WARNING! For safety reasons, transmission must be supported (using for example VAG 1383 A and VAG 135912).

Remove hex bolts -3-.
^
Remove socket head bolts -5-.
^
Remove hex bolts -4-.
^
Remove subframe.
Pay special attention to the information when installing
^
Arrow on connecting link points in direction of travel.
^
Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent. The bolted connections on the suspension links should therefore only be tightened
when the vehicle is standing on the ground.
Note: Align vehicle after carrying out repairs, Refer to Alignment Description and Operation.
Tightening torques

Always replace subframe bolts and washers: 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.) plus additional 90 ° turn.

Guide link and track control link to subframe 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) plus additional 90 ° turn.
Modified coupling and tightening torques, Refer to Stabilizer Link, Service and Repair.

The arrow on the connecting link points in the direction of travel.
^
Hex bolts of support plates: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
^
Socket head bolts of engine mount: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
^
Hex bolts of transmission mount: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
