Airbag-Sport Steering Wheel, Retrofitting

For vehicles beginning model year 1995 equipped with standard production airbag, a change over to airbag-sport steering wheel at an Audi
dealership is possible.

Use airbag-sport steering wheel, AIRBAG unit and the label suited for vehicle type.

The label with the scrap date should be removed from the new airbag unit and glue to B-pillar driver side instead of the old label.

For vehicles without adhesive label on B- pillar enter airbag-change in service-booklet.

Vehicles changed over to airbag-sport steering wheel must have TUV listed. Enter a note that the change over was done at an Audi dealership
(invoice). In addition, on the TUV an attachment certification must be filled out, which contains the note that this steering wheel is entered in the
general operating permit.
