Telescoping Wheel Switch: Service and Repair

Steering Column Adjustment Switch E167, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Special screwdriver T8 T40056 A

Removing

CAUTION: Follow safety precautions when working on knee airbag.

-

Remove drivers storage compartment.

-

Lower steering wheel as far as possible to rear, making use of the full range of the steering column adjuster.

-

Remove bolts - 3 - and - 4 - using screwdriver T8 T40056 A.

-

Remove Torx bolt - 5 -.

-

Separate upper trim - 2 - for steering column switch from lower trim - 1 - and detach both sections.

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector at lower trim.

NOTE: Steering wheel has been removed in illustration.
