Select function "53 - Parking brake".

Select function "04 - Basic setting".
Indicated on display of VAS 5051:
-
Request to enter a display group number appears in display field -1-.

An entry pad is shown in display field -2-.
When installing new brake pads
-
Enter "05" or "005" as Display group number via the keypad -2- and confirm entry with "Q key" (resetting piston).
When re-installing old brake pads

Enter "07" or "007" as display group number via the keypad -2- and confirm entry with "Q key". (Brake opens all the way, the pad thickness does
not have to be entered later on.)
All vehicles
-
Remove securing bolts from brake caliper housing, when doing this counter-hold on guide pins.
Note: Actuator or brake system connector must not be disconnected.

Slide connector out of retainer.
-
Remove brake caliper sideways.
-
Remove brake pads.
-
Remove guide clips.
Note: It is possible to change brake discs with brake carriers installed.
