Refrigerant oils used for R-134a and R-12 systems are NOT compatible. DO NOT use the oil for an R-12 system in an R-134a system. If
refrigerant oils are mixed, the system will be contaminated and compressor failure may result.

Use only approved refrigerant oils that have been released into the Audi parts system.

Replacement A/C compressors supplied by the Parts Dept. are filled with 250 cc ± 20 cc (8.5 fl oz ± 0.7 fl oz) of refrigerant oil. This is the total
A/C system refrigerant oil capacity.

When A/C is switched on for the first time, the refrigerant oil is distributed throughout the entire system.

When replacing A/C system components, add appropriate amount of refrigerant oil to component.

Dispose of used refrigerant oil following laws governing hazardous waste disposal.
