Visual Inspection

CAUTION!
Battery plugs must always be securely threaded when charging, measuring voltage and performing load measurements.

Before taking measurements, such as, for example open-circuit voltage or specific gravity, or performing the battery load test, you should visually
inspect the battery.

This inspection is intended to determine

NOTE:

-

Whether the battery casing is damaged. Damage to the casing can allow acid to escape from the battery.

Whether the battery terminals (battery cable connections) are damaged. Damage to battery terminals can keep them from making secure contact
with the cable connections. This can cause a cable fire and interfere with the function of the electrical system.
