Perform a visual inspection of the trunk hinges. There are two variations of trunk lid hinges:

A - Version with flat rivet

B - Version with indented rivet

If the trunk lid hinges are version B, no further action is required. If the trunk lid hinges are Version A, they must be replaced.

Replace trunk lid hinges. Follow directions in ElsaWeb, General body repairs, exterior; Repair group 55; Removing and installing trunk lid hinge."

Oil hinge joints with universal spray lubricant G 000 115 A2.

6.

Perform a function check. Using the power drive, completely open and close the trunk lid 10 times.

Tip: The system will calibrate itself automatically during the first three operations. If the trunk lid does not open and close by itself, assist by
pushing lightly by hand.
