When installing a new lock plate - 2 - or a new drive motor, insert lock plate into vehicle only in the position "lid closed" (in the condition
delivered).

Tighten nuts - 1 - and hex bolt - 3 - to 10 Nm.

Now, close rear lid.

With rear lid closed, measure projection at side panel.

-

Open rear lid and move lock plate to the measured amount.

-

Close rear lid, check position at side panel and perform correction if necessary.

Fine adjustment can be performed with adjustment screw - 4 -.
