Insert protective seal into groove in brake caliper. To do this use removal wedge 3409.

Carefully insert brake piston into brake caliper while turning the brake piston to the left and right. There are only four positions in which it is
possible to guide the brake piston past the compressor nut.

Press brake piston onto stop in brake caliper after passing the compressor nut.

Note:  Make sure not to damage the compressor nut.

Piston resetting tool T10145 can be used to insert the brake piston as well.

Make sure that the protective seal is located in the groove of the brake piston when the piston is pressed in all the way.

Insert pad retaining springs.

-

Measure the pad thicknesses of both brake pads without backing plates and put down the lower value.
