6. Press the "Next" button (>) to transfer the selected option into the test plan.

7. Select Direct input: SVM code for problem-related update.

8. Start the program by pressing the "Next" button (>).

9. Activate the virtual screen keypad.

10. Enter the code NA4E45CCIL and confirm with the "Next" button (>).

All the control units in the vehicle will now be interrogated and the data will be read by the tester.

11. Confirm the message to the effect that you require a network connection with Done.

12. Enter your 'GeKo' user-ID and confirm with OK.

The data read out from the vehicle and the SVM code will now be transmitted.

Then, the reply from the Software Version Management will be received and evaluated.

The display will show the result of a Specified/actual comparison that is performed automatically by the system. Should you receive an implausible
reply from the SVM, please refer to the TSB 2011732, Software Version Management (SVM) Operating Manual, and follow the troubleshooting
procedures as listed in the Additional Information section.

13. Press Done.

14. Quit Guided Fault Finding by selecting Go to >> Exit.

15. Press the 'Exit' button to confirm that you want to end the program.

The system will erase all fault memories and then interrogate them again. If the Readiness code was deleted, please answer No to the question
regarding the creation of the Readiness code.

16. Follow the further directions given in the display.

17. In order to document and bill your work, the diagnosis log has to be transmitted. Select Yes.

18. Please answer all questions regarding workshop job number, chassis number, result of repair, and reference to ELSA (if applicable).

The VAS 5051 / VAS 5052 unit will now transmit the diagnosis log via the workshop network.

19. Print out the diagnosis log for your records.

20. Switch off the ignition.
