Remove ribbed belt.

Unbolt upper idler roller - "1" using special tool OTCJ-48462 for access between roller and cooling fan assembly.

Fit the new upper idler roller, Part 077 109 244 H and lengthened bolt N 014 733 8 supplied in the Upper Idler Roller Kit.

Install torque wrench extension -OTCJ-48462 onto 3/8 torque wrench, set torque wrench to 28 Nm.

Torque wrench extension must be perpendicular to the torque wrench, to yield a tightening torque of 45 Nm at the bolt.

Torque bolt.

Install sealing cap Part No. 077 903 310

NOTE: When fitting the ribbed belt, ensure that the belt runs in the correct direction and is correctly seated on the belt pulleys.

Fit the ribbed belt onto the pulleys in the order specified below
1. Upper idler roller
2. Crankshaft
3. Lower idler wheel
4. Power steering pump
5. A/C compressor
6. Ribbed belt tensioner
7. Alternator

Turn tensioner for ribbed belt in direction of arrow.

Remove locking pin T10060.

Start engine and check that the belt runs properly.

Deactivate vehicle jack mode

Update Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Control Module, address word 65, with SW Level 0270 to SW Level 0280 (or higher) via
Software Version Management
Tip: Vehicles with satellite radio option that is not activated by the customer will have a fault code stored "not active" Please ignore this fault
