Disconnect coolant hose (arrow) from thermostat housing.

-

Remove bolts -1- and -2- and take off thermostat housing.

-

Remove O-ring and thermostat.

Installing

Note:  Replace gaskets and O-rings

-

Clean and smooth down sealing surface for O-ring as required.

-

Install thermostat.

Installation position: vent valve (arrow) faces up

Install thermostat housing.

The remaining installation steps are performed in the reverse sequence. Note the following points:
-

Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing).

-

Fill with coolant.

Tightening torques 
Thermostat housing to cylinder block .....................................................................................................................................................................  14 Nm 1)
Upper ribbed belt idler wheel to torque support ..........................................................................................................................................................  10 Nm
