Rocker Arm Assembly: Removal and Replacement

Roller Rocker Lever

Removing

‹› Engine is removed. Refer to => [ Engine, Removing ] See: Service and Repair/Engine, Removing.

Remove the camshafts and adjusters, refer to one of the following:

‹› => [ Left Camshafts and Adjuster ] See: Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods/Camshaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Left Camshafts

and Adjuster.

‹› => [ Right Camshafts and Adjuster ] See: Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods/Camshaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Right

Camshafts and Adjuster.

Mark the allocation of the roller rocker levers and shafts for reinstallation.

Remove the bolts - arrows -.

-

Thread a M6 bolt into the hole in the roller rocker lever shaft.

Remove the shaft from the cylinder head and remove the roller rocker levers.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› Replace the O-rings.

Before installing, oil the bearing areas for the roller rocker lever.

Install the camshafts and adjusters, refer to one of the following:

Camshafts and Adjuster.

‹› => [ Left Camshafts and Adjuster ] See: Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods/Camshaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Left Camshafts

and Adjuster.
