‹› Thickness of sealant bead: approximately 1.5 mm

‹› The upper oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes after the application of the silicone sealant.

‹› Sealant bead must not be thicker than specified, otherwise the sealant could get into the oil pan and clog the oil pump strainer.

‹› Apply the sealant bead in the area of the cylinder block bore as well as the rear sealing flange - arrows - extremely carefully.

Install the upper oil pan and pre-tighten all bolts - 1 and 2 - in a diagonal sequence to 5 Nm.
