Front Crankshaft Seal: Removal and Replacement

Crankshaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Thrust piece (T40007)

‹› Oil seal extractor (T40019)

Removing

-

Remove the front bumper.

-

Remove the lock carrier.

-

Remove the toothed belt. Refer to => [ Toothed Belt ] See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Toothed Belt.

Remove the crankshaft toothed belt gear - 1 - bolt - 2 -.

-

Remove the toothed belt gear.

-

Place the inner part of the (T40019) flush with the outer part and secure it using the knurled screw.

-

Lubricate the threaded head of the (T40019), position and with forced pressure screw it into the oil seal as far as possible.

-

Loosen the knurled screw and turn the inner portion against the crankshaft until the oil seal is pulled out.
