Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Deactivating

Deactivating

-

Remove seat pan.

NOTE:
-

Left and right side airbags can only be jointly deactivated. Individual side airbag deactivation is not possible.

One connector each is provided on left and right on sill panel side of seat frame.

Press retainer tab - 2 - and disconnect connector - 1 -.

-

Secure loose connectors with cable ties. Vehicles with no head airbag

-

Remove rear wheel housing trim.

-

Disconnect crash sensor connector at C-pillar.

All vehicles

-

Install seat pan.

Rear side airbag deactivation stickers

-

Affix side airbag deactivation stickers - 1 - on left and right of frame - 2 - of rear doors - arrow -.

-

If local regulations require several stickers to be affixed, these are to be attached above the sticker shown.

Alter encoding of airbag control module to option without rear side airbag.

Complete registration card and forward it to appropriate regional sales center or importer for recording purposes. Place Sheet 3 of registration card
in customers document wallet.
