Oil Filter: Service and Repair

Engine oil: drain, replace oil filter

WARNING! Oil extraction not permitted with various engine types! SEE maintenance table

Note: Perform oil change at operating temperature.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Oil filter strap wrench Hazet 2171-1

-

Oil extractor 1782

V8 5-valve gasoline engines

Tightening torque

Oil filter cover .........................................................................................................................................................................................................  25 Nm
Oil drain plug to oil filter housing ...........................................................................................................................................................................  10 Nm
Oil drain plug on oil pan .........................................................................................................................................................................................  50 Nm

Remove noise insulation.  See: Body and Frame/Sound Proofing / Insulation/Service and Repair

Open oil drain plug on oil pan.

-

Open oil drain plug - arrow - on filter housing.

Note: Oil filter is located below air filter.
