Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Testing and Inspection

Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-, Checking

Electrical testing of intake manifold change-over valve

Disconnect connector from Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-.

-

Perform a resistance measurement between terminals on valve using V.A.G 1526.
Specified value: 25 to 35 Ohms

If specified value is not obtained.

-

Replace Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-.

If specified value is obtained.

Check voltage supply. See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Variable Induction System/Variable Induction Control Valve/Testing and Inspection

Checking voltage supply from Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-

Connect V.A.G 1527 voltage test lamp between connector terminal 2 and engine Ground (GND) using adapter cables from V.A.G 1594 connector
test kit.

-

Switch ignition on.

LED must light up.

-

LED does not light up.
