Front Information Display Control Head -J685-, Removing And Installing

Removing

The screen (display unit) must be folded out for removal. If the screen can no longer be folded out using the button, the emergency release must be used.

-

Remove right and left air outlets at screen.

-

Remove right-hand panel with switch trim.

-

Remove instrument panel insert panel.

-

Remove front passenger's airbag panel.

Emergency release:

Release cable -3- is located on the left-hand side of the vent opening.

Pull cable in direction of -arrow- and push trim -2- into instrument panel with other hand until screen -1- is completely folded out.

Remove screws -arrows-.

-

Carefully pull screen unit -1- out of instrument panel -2-.

-

Disconnect electrical connector from screen.

-

Remove driver's storage compartment

-

Disconnect connector for motor.

The screen can be detached from the screen unit.
