Wheel bearing housing, removing and installing

Special tools and equipment

V.A.G 1332 Torque wrench

V.A.G 1576 Torque wrench

Removing
During assembly, make sure that there are no indentations the boot of the air spring damper.
^

Place vehicle on lifting platform

^

Remove drive axle collar bolt

^

Disconnect connector -1- from speed sensor and remove wire from holder -arrow-.

^

Remove brake caliper and attach to body with wire.

^

Removing brake disc.

^

Separate the joint pins of the control arm from the tapered seat of the wheel bearing housing (nut remains loose on the joint pin)

^

Separate the joint pins of the guide link from the tapered seat of the wheel bearing housing (nut remains loose on the joint pin).
