Tie Rod End: Service and Repair
Tie rod end, removing and installing

V.A.G 1332 Torque wrench

V.A.G 1332/9 Wrench attachment
Removing

Remove wheel.
^
Unscrew bolt -1-.
^
Unscrew hex nut -5- and bolt -2-.
Note:
^
The slots in the wheel bearing housing must not be widened using a chisel or similar.
^
Chisels or similar tools must not be used between the steering arm -1- and sealing washer -2- of the tie rod end to press out the tie rod as this
would damage the sealing washer.
