Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Thrust plate (VW 402)

‹› Punch (VW 412)

‹› Tube (3296)

‹› Assembly tool (T40032)

‹› Assembly paste (G 052 109 A2)

‹› Hold the track control arm firmly in position while pressing the bushing out and in.

Removing

-

Remove the track control arm. Refer to => [ Track Control Arm ] See: Service and Repair/Track Control Arm.

Mark the installed depth - arrow - on the bushing - 1 -.

Use a waterproof felt tip pen for applying the mark.

Install the special tools as shown in the illustration.

-

Press the bushing - 1 - out of the track control arm - 2 -.

Installing

-

Transfer the install depth mark from the old bushing to the new one.

-

Lubricate the bushing lightly with assembly paste (G 052 109 A2).

Insert the bushing - 1 - into the track control arm - 2 -.
