Level Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair
Solenoid valve block, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment

V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench
^
V.A.G 1783 Torque wrench
^
V.A.G 1783/1 Spanner attachment (10 mm A/F)
Removing
Note: The solenoid valve is installed on the A-pillar on the left behind the wheel housing trim.

Place vehicle on lifting platform.
^
Bleed system.
^
Remove wheel trim, detach trim cap for light alloy wheels (puller in vehicle tool kit).
^
Remove wheel.
^
Secure brake disc with a wheel bolt.
^
Remove wheel housing liner.
^
Detach connector -1-.
^
Unscrew air lines -arrows-.
^
Protect air lines from contamination.
^
Unscrew bolts -2- and remove solenoid valve block with bracket.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order. Note the following:
