Right side flange shaft, removing and installing

Drip tray V.A.G 1306

Removing

Note: Before raising the vehicle on a hoist (wheels off the ground), first activate the vehicle jack mode.

Remove heat shield for right side axle shaft.

^

Unbolt axle shaft from flange on transmission and tie up.

^

Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 below transmission.

^

Place a chisel or spacer piece -A- under flange shaft and remove flange shaft by turning bolt -B-.

Note: If flange shaft does not pull out easily, rotate shaft and screw bolt into hole on opposite side.
