Housing Shaft Seal.

Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip half way with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).

Clean torque converter hub and shaft seal.

Check the torque converter shaft seal and replace if damaged. Refer to => [ Torque Converter Shaft Seal ] See: Seals and Gaskets/Service and
Repair/09EA Transmission.

Lightly coat shaft seals with ATF.

Press torque converter hub through shaft seal as far as first stop.

Lightly press torque converter inwards and turn until slots on torque converter hub engage in drive lugs on ATF pump gear and torque converter
slides in a noticeable distance.
