Wiper Motor: Procedures
Removing Wiper Motor From Frame
-
Remove nut -2- and separate crank from wiper motor.
-
Remove wiper motor from wiper frame -arrows-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-
Fasten wiper motor without crank to wiper frame -arrows-.
-
Reconnect electrical connector.
-
Switch on ignition.
-
Actuate flick wipe function and allow wiper motor to move to end position.
NOTE:
-
For every 2nd switch-off, the wiper motor moves into a low upstroke end position, which ensures that the edge of the wiper blade is flipped in the
other direction.
-
The wiper motor runs downward past the end position and then upward again slightly. This low upstroke end position may not be used to align the
wiper crank.
-
Only use that end position when wiper motor runs directly into end position without low upstroke. Activate flick wipe function again if necessary.
CAUTION: Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
