Condition
Malfunction indicator light on.
The following DTCs may be stored:

P0300 (Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected)

P0411 (Sec. Air Inj. (AIR) Sys. Incorrect Flow Detected)

P1128 (Long Term Fuel Trim mult., Bank1. System too Lean)

P1130 (Long Term Fuel Trim mult., Bank2. System too Lean)
-
P1411 (Sec. Air Inj.Sys. Bank2. Flow too Low)
-
P1423 (Sec. Air Inj.Sys.,Bank1. Flow too Low)
Technical Background
May be caused by a cracked or broken (braided cloth-covered) vacuum hose to the Secondary Air Injection Combi-Valve.
Most common DTCs associated with broken or cracked vacuum hoses are P0300, P0411, P1128, P1130, P1411 and P1423.
Production Solution
New vacuum hose material and configuration, Part No. 077 145 718B.
Service
1. Remove upper engine covers. (See Repair Manual >> Group 15 Cylinder head covers, removing and installing.)
2. Inspect for damage on the braided vacuum hose.
