Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose clamp pliers (V.A.G 1921)

Removing

‹› Engine/transmission unit removed and attached to scissor lift platform (VAS 6131).

Remove right exhaust manifolds with catalytic converters => [ Right Exhaust Manifold with Catalytic Converters ] See: Exhaust System/Exhaust
Manifold/Service and Repair/Right Exhaust Manifold With Catalytic Converters.

Remove lower bolt - arrow - at right front coolant pipe.

Twist spindles of attachments - 1 - at left and right on engine carrier - 4 - completely downward.

‹› Ignore - 2 - and - 3 -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - for engine mount on left and right.
