2. Remove the two pre-installed clips from the bypass coolant hoses (Figure 1, 1). Figure 2. Clip (2x) Part No. 701 422 921 (1), ventilation hose (2),
bypass hoses (3), and the front core support (4).

3. In this step, use new parts:

^ New coolant hose, Part Number 4E0 121 101 BP.

^ New bypass hose, Part Number 4E0 121 445 AB.

Attach the bypass hoses with 2 clips (Part Number 701 422 921) to the ventilation hose.

Tips: 
^ If necessary, install a new spring clip (Part Number N 906 869 01 (B23x12) or N 906 870 01 (B27x12)).

^ Attach the coolant hoses and bypass hoses with 2 clips (pre-installed on the coolant hoses by the supplier) to the secondary air hose.

SVM Update Instructions

ECM software should be updated for additional reduction in coolant system pressure.

The TCM must be updated at the same time to prevent compatibility issues.
