Place drip tray for workshop crane (VAS 6208) or drip tray (V.A.G 1306) under engine.

-

Disconnect coolant hose - 2 - from lower left coolant pipe and drain the coolant.

-

Remove bolt - 1 - and nut - 3 -.

-

Disconnect lower left coolant pipe from coolant hose - 4 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair/Procedures.

-

Deactivate the vehicle lifting mode.
