Separate electrical connector - 8 - for Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (-G39-).

‹› Disregard the other items in the illustration.

Expose electrical wiring to oxygen sensor.

Remove Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (-G39-) - arrow 2 - using ring spanner set (3337).

Installing

Perform installation in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› New oxygen sensors are coated with assembly paste; the paste must not get into slots on the oxygen sensor body.

‹› When re-installing a used oxygen sensor, coat the threads with hot bolt paste. This paste must not come into contact with slots on oxygen sensor

body.

‹› During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.
