Boot

‹› Check for damage.

‹› Do not twist after adjusting the toe.

‹› Can be replaced with the steering gear installed.

‹› Remove to replace the tie rods. Refer to => [ Tie Rod ] See: Tie Rod/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tie Rod.

Clamp

‹› Always replace.

‹› Tension using hose clamp pliers (VAG 1275).

Tie Rod, 100 Nm

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod ] See: Tie Rod/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tie Rod. 

‹› Grease the joint with steering gear grease (AOF 063 000 04).

‹› Always replace.

 Servotronic Solenoid Valve (N119)

Connect the (VAS 5051A) and select the function test using "Functions/Component selection". Refer to => [ VAS 5051, Connecting and Selecting
Functions ] See: Suspension/Suspension Control ( Automatic - Electronic )/Description and Operation/Level Control System.
