Mechatronic Unit

  ‹› Always replace the Mechatronic unit if it is dirty or faulty.

‹› Automatic transmission clean working conditions, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Clean Working Conditions.

‹› General repair instructions, refer to => [ General Repair Information ] See: Service Precautions/General Repair Information.

Removing 

-

Turn off the ignition and remove the key.

-

Remove the ATF pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Pan.

Remove the oil screen. Refer to => [ Oil Screen ] See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Screen.

 

There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

 

‹› Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, for example, vehicle ground, before touching or removing the Mechatronic

unit.

‹› Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the Mechatronic unit.

Touch the vehicle ground with a bare hand to discharge the static electricity.

-

Rotate electrical connection - arrow - counter-clockwise and remove.

Disconnect the clip for the wiring harness connector - A -.
