Rearview Camera System Control Module

Rearview Camera System Control Module

The rear view camera system control module is located behind the luggage compartment left front side trim.

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051A) to do so.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

-

Remove the bracket and radio and move it into the luggage compartment. Refer to => [ Radio, MMI ] See: Radio, Stereo, and Compact
Disc/Service and Repair/Radio.

The rear view camera system control module - 2 - is wedged into the bracket - 3 -.

-

Disconnect the connectors - 1 - and - 2 - on the rear view camera system control module - 3 -.

-

Push the tabs - arrows - outward and remove the rear view camera system control module - 2 - from the bracket -  3 -.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order.

-

Install the bracket with the radio. Refer to => [ Radio, MMI ] See: Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Service and Repair/Radio.

Perform calibration. Refer to => [ Rearview Camera System, Calibrating ] See: Testing and Inspection. 

Tightening specifications. Refer to=> [ Specifications ] See: Specifications.
