Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing

-

Pry the MMI screen cover - 1 - out at the corners -  arrow - using the trim removal wedge (3409) and remove it.

-

Disconnect the front passenger airbag disabled indicator lamp (K145)/emergency flasher button ( E229) electrical connector and remove the
cover.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

‹› Check the clips for damage or deformation and replace them if necessary.

Press the MMI screen cover on until it engages audibly.
