Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting
Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster.
CAUTION!
If possible, leave the brake pedal stop installed; it could brake the mount for the brake lamp sensor if the brake pedal is released too
quickly.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Release tool for brake lamp sensor (T40168).
‹› Release tool (T40136)

Remove driver side storage compartment - 1 to 3 -.
-
Disconnect connector - C - on the footwell vent.
