Remove drain plug - 1 - and drain the coolant.

Remove coolant hose - 2 - from radiator by raising the retaining clip.

Remove connection - arrow - from radiator by removing the retaining clip.

Disconnect coolant fan electrical connector - 1 - by sliding the retainer back - arrow - and pressing the release down.

Place Used oil collection and extraction device ( V.A.G 1782) under disconnection point.
