Oil Pan, Upper Section

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective eye-wear

‹› Hand drill with plastic brush attachment

Removing

‹› Engine fastened to the engine and transmission holder. Refer to => [ Engine, Securing to Engine and Transmission Holder ] See: Service and

Remove timing chain lower cover. Refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Lower
Timing Chain Cover.

Remove oil pump. Refer to => [ Oil Pump ] See: Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Oil Pump.

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove the oil baffle downward.

Remove bolts - 1 to 6 - for the upper section of the oil pan.
