Clean air filter housing (upper and lower sections) of salt residue, dirt or leaves (use vacuum cleaner if necessary).

Check intake ducting up to the air filter element for dirt.

When installing the air filter element, make sure it is centered in the mount in the lower section of the air filter housing.

Assemble the new air filter element with the upper section of the air filter housing.

The tab on the air filter element - 1 - must align with the tab on the air filter housing - 2 -.
